A three hour, afternoon event with two alternating compositions by Michael Pisaro. LWTDOT (written for Greg Stuart in 2012/13) is in six parts and works with the spatial and sonic configuration of 11 percussionists. (It is loosely derived from the work of Julian Barbour and Francis Alÿs.) "Untime" is a series of noise interludes between the six parts. It features electronic musician and musicologist Joe Panzner (and is loosely based on Gilles Deleuze, Leo Bersani/Ulysse Dutoit and Alain Badiou's readings of Beckett and Resnais). Both soloists will be joined by the Experimental Music Workshop (at CalArts).
